Bricks and mortar from the waist up, One Eyed Smiley with a low brow ... the smoke stack gives it away, and sets it apart from the surroundings.. something silver looks out to the world - squared off but with no boarders. You might find it puffing away on a foggy afternoon or evening ... pondering at life, thinking thoughts that the rest of us don't have to.
People say it had been there for ages; unchanged by time. Graffiti clad and in contemporary light, you could pass it buy as an ordinary building .. not noticing the One Eyed Smiley watching you loaf down the sidewalk, on your way to work. These things don't concern most people, not looking up from their feet. It takes an old smooth soul to look out evenly across the world - and see it for what it is.. has become.. and will continue to be...
